Success at Arkansas State starts at ATO!You’re looking for a place where you belong, a place to have fun, and a place where you can grow and develop in meaningful ways—a place to experience life with like-minded individuals. ATO is that place.
But more than a place, Alpha Tau Omega is an opportunity. It gives you the opportunity to be part of something much bigger than a college experience, something that makes a difference and something with a strong values-based foundation. Since 1865, Alpha Tau Omega has been a provider of amazing opportunities. More than 200,000 men have become ATOs and taken advantage of an experience that is like nothing else. As America’s Leadership Development Fraternity, ATO provides a great opportunity for young men who are looking for a memorable fraternity experience. |

What is RUSH?Rush is the official process to join a fraternity or sorority affiliated with the Panhellenic Council (PHC) or the Interfraternity Council (IFC). It is a time for students to ask questions including what are the financial obligations, time commitments and membership requirements. Rush is a slang term for recruitment.
Rush is a two-way process when fraternities and sororities are getting to know you and you are getting to know the fraternities and sororities. You are deciding which organization most interests you, which has the members you relate to the best, and which one you feel the most comfortable with. At the same time, members of the chapter are meeting you and others going through recruitment. Chapters are looking at individuals who can contribute to their membership in terms of grades, activities, talents and interests. Recruitment is year-round, but the IFC has two formalized processes one in the fall and the other in the spring. Again you must register for this process. If you are a student athlete or you are involved in other activities that may overlap with recruitment, inform the chapter or council that you will be participating in both. We will work with you during the week to ensure that you may attend as many recruitment events as possible. If you participate in recruitment, there is no commitment to join. Recruitment is a time to see what Greek life can offer you. |
